founded
Serf
Associates
in
1977
after
working
in
the
glass
and
glazing
industry
for
over
twenty
years.
From
1957-1967,
he
was
employed
by
the
Amarlite
division
of
Anaconda
Aluminum.
There
he
was
an
estimator,
coordinator,
architectural
representative,
territorial
sales
representative,
and
finally
a
Midwestern
contract
sales
rep.
From
1967-1977
he
was
with
PPG
Industries,
starting
in
the
Kokomo
Division
as
a
sales
representative
in
the
Chicago
Metro
area,
with
responsibilities
that
included
the
rest
of
Illinois,
Indiana,
and
Southern
Michigan.
He
then
became
the
regional
manager
for
nine
southeastern
states,
and
later
the
Midwestern
Regional
Manager.
Throughout
the
years,
even
as
Serf
Formentini's
managerial
responsibilities
grew,
he
has
remained
in
touch
with
our
customers.
His
primary
focus
today
is
sales
and
technical
support
for
our
interior
systems
product
line,
support
in
glass/glazing,
as
well
as
his
managerial
role.
Serf
also
no
longer
believes
the
phrase
"The
check
is
in
the
mail".

Mark
Formentini
joined
the
company
in
1979.
He
had
previous
experience
with
the
glazing
industry
by
providing
shop
drawings
to
smaller
glazing
contractors
while
attending
college.
While
providing
sales
and
support
in
the
glazing
market,
Mark's
primary
focus
has
been
and
continues
to
be
in
the
sealants
and
adhesive
segment.
This
focus
has
not
only
improved
the
already
strong
relationship
with
the
glazing
industry,
it
also
expanded
Serf
Associates
presence
into
the
automotive
windshield
bonding
industry
and
the
waterproofing
and
caulking

John
Formentini
joined
the
company
in
1980.
John
started
as
outside
sales
for
the
glazing
market
and
today
has
responsibility
for
the
shower
enclosure
distribution
and
the
glass
and
glazing
segment
of
Serf
Associates
business.
He
is
responsible
for
our
core
business
and
also
carries
out
office
management
and
accounting
responsibilities. Top

Henry
Dewey
started
with
us
in
1998,
and
assists
with
deliveries
of
our
Shower
enclosure
distribution.
Hank
is
a
retired
glazier,
having
worked
in
the
Chicago
area
for
30
years. Top of

Mark D'Apice
joined us in January of 2002. He previously worked at ABC Rail in Chicago
Heights for 23 years, ending up in Quality Control. Mark is our warehouse
manager, and is also in charge of all shower door fabrication.

Michael
Boese joined us in June 2004. He previously worked in construction
management with a residential home builder in Minnesota. He also owned a vinyl
siding installation company for the past five and a half years. Michael's
primary responsibilities are outside sales for bath enclosures and automotive
adhesives.

Debbi Oberheim joined us in August 2006. She worked for Bay
Furniture for 12 years in Accounts Payable and in the Front Office.
She also worked 6 years in Customer Service for a cable company in Phoenix,
Arizona. She is responsible for general customer service
and support, working with Gail in A/R and A/P, as well as various office
duties.

Gail
Formentini has "Officially" joined us in 2005. As Mark's wife, she has
always been a part of the company. Gail takes care of A/P, A/R, Payroll,
and other office duties.

Donny Malic joined us in 2006. Donny is a
full time student at St. Xavier University. He works in our warehouse,
loading and unloading trucks, making glass packs, and anything else he is called
on to do.
